There are many things that I have been able to learn throughout the course that has made it worthwhile. I have learned about the concept of revolutionizing learning and development. We were taught that learning and revolution are in a bad state in such a way that we are supposed to do something to improve the situation for the benefit of society. Towards the beginning of the course, we were taught that there was a need to come to arms because the current state of learning and development was failing (Quinn, 2014, p. 22). The information on what we are supposed to work on is important because it gives me tips on how to assess the situations and finding solutions going forward. I have also learned the fact that the true advanced technology is similar to magic and it can help a person to solve a problem or the problems that he or she goes through in the best way possible. The information will, therefore, allow me to use technology in improving my lives as well as the lives of the other people in society. I have also learned about performance augmentation, making me understand that the goal of any learning process is to improve performance (Quinn, 2014, p. 25). Such information is important because it makes to go to the training practice as well as working on various tasks with performance in mind and that attitude will help me succeed in everything that I do. I have also learned that the foundation of going forward is knowing where I stand, and that is what is known as the status quo (Quinn, 2014, p. 38). I have also learnt from chapter 5 is that provided we don’t put the ideas that we have out to the society, then it means that were are not being as useful as we are supposed to be. For instance the author writes “Our picture of the brain as a logic machine, processing rationally, has been broken.” (Quinn, 2014, P. 48)
