In line with the police force, effectiveness holds the meaning of how productive a
force is at protecting the vulnerable citizens of the country, handling crimes that are serious
and have been organized, and preventing crime while investigating those that have already
been committed. Efficiency, on the other hand, is how a police force can manage demands
and plans.
On June 01, 1956, the Dubai Police Force was established, and it had its headquarters
in Naif Fort until 1973. It is part of the United Arab Emirates Police Force. They have more
than 15,000 employees. Their mission is “to improve the quality of life, in the country, by
operating by the constitutional rights to enforce the law and maintain security and safety of
the community and everyone living in the country” (Dubai Police, 2016). Care for the
vulnerable. The Dubai Police Force has the capability of taking care of the rights of the
vulnerable group more so with the ongoing pandemic through “secure together.” They can be
useful in the sense that they will be able to take care of the vulnerable group of citizens and
prioritize them in terms of medical attention, disinfection, and sanitization, among others. In
this manner, they will be fruitful at protecting the vulnerable group. In terms of efficiency,
they can be able to manage future demands by the update of their database of the places

where the elderly reside so that they can be able to immediately respond to any emergencies
and requests that are urgent (WAM, 2020).
Police chase. The Dubai Police Force has the capability of handling severe crimes.
They can show their effectiveness by the use of their high-speed luxurious cars such as the
Bugatti Veyron, which is the fastest vehicle in service. In Dubai, many people have these
speed cars, and to manage to catch a criminal during a police chase, they can effectively do
so with the help of the fast vehicles that they possess. In terms of efficiency, they can be able
to manage future demands through the use of flying motorbikes when in a police chase. This
is something that they have already started training. The flying motorcycles can, however, be
radio-controlled from the ground since the recent field testing didn’t go well with a person
controlling it in air. These flying motorbikes can be used to access areas that can be quite
challenging for the vehicles to reach.
Digital security. The Dubai Police Force has the capability of preventing crimes that
are committed via the internet platform. Cases of cybercrime are on the rise, and the Dubai
Police have the self-service eCrime program that allows its public to record complaints that
align with cybercrime of any sort as long as they are in the surroundings of Dubai city (Dubai
Police, 2020). They also have applications that enable their people to report digital crimes
online. Such apps include the UEA Pass app that can be found on google play and iTunes, the
emirates ID that is biometric, and the SmartPass. In terms of efficiency, they can be able to
use digital money instead of hard cash in transactions. This means that money will not be
physically held by hand. This will be able to reduce the cases of robbery with violence for
money. This also means that they will need to tighten up the digital security since hackers can
be able to rob people using the same technology. They need to find risks and manage them
before they can happen, which is a thing that they can very well implement.
