In my personal experience during social interactions with my coworkers, friends, and
people in a social gathering, I come across awkward situations portraying some emotional
inferiority. My friend keeps understanding and believing that he is ugly and a bad omen to other
people (Jacket Sterrett, 2000). This personality is killing him emotionally because it ruins his
emotional intelligence. Even though this friend has a good and well-paying job, his self-esteem
was very low. This is a sign of low emotional intelligence (Seligman, 2009).
