III. By reading this article, I learned a lot of thing that is useful and of much help. Without ethics, it is not very possible for people to integrate and coexist in society. Civic responsibility requires that people to have a sense of what they need to do at the right time and for the proper purpose. Ethics is significant in shaping the behaviors of the individuals in society. From the time human civilization came to be, men have tried to keep the conduct of human beings in check.
However, as it is with many things in life, there is nothing that is perfect. Ethics and the conduct of human beings are not left out in this matter. In the olden days, it was polluted by the poor governance of the norms and the practices. Humans are generally thought of as selfish creatures, and it has been proven in many circumstances. Unfortunately, other acts are done repeatedly and are unethical which are clearly outlined in this article and how they should be addressed.
Erosion of ethics is not only narrowed to the world of business, but it has transpired to almost all the aspects of the life of human beings. There are a series of impacts in the society if the erosion of ethics is not checked on carefully. If erosion keeps worsening, no one will be at a position to trust anybody by all means. In the long run, the society will stop functioning the way it does in the present times. Ethical norms are, and there is a need to draw the boundaries between what is acceptable and what is not. When this is done, civic responsibility will be appropriately enhanced.
