The ten processes that are being addressed in the current research include fabric selection, designing the apparel, creation of the products, packaging, technological innovation, marketing, transport, retail, merchandising and distribution. The fabric process involves the selection of the appropriate fabric that will be used in making a given apparel. Not many designers have managed to make names or turn heads in the fashion industry because of the design that they have used in making a given apparel. The creation process comes after the design process. It involves putting together a piece of clothing so that it can be useful to the people in society. Packaging is an important part in the in the apparel industry. The primary reason why packaging is done is to maintain the quality of the product during transportation. Marketing works at both the discount and retail levels. Marketing is the process of promoting and selling products and services to the clients. Technological innovation is important in the business. A significant part of creating a piece of clothing involves the interpretation of the clothing structure into an example in scope and of sizes. Transport helps the clients in the market to get the product in a convenient location. The transport process is an important part of the supply chain management. Retailing is the process of selling merchandise and services to the clients in the market. Once clothes have been manufactured, they have to be sold within a given period of time as a way of making sure that the company makes profits.
The clients will contact the company, specifying the apparel that they want. They are liberty to either specify the design of apparel that they want or wait for the staff in the company to choose the design for them. The designers will also use their creativity to come up with new designs that will be sold in the market due to the fact that a good number of clients love new products that are presented in the company. Elegance Winter Apparel Inc. will provide the apparel search and production services, pattern making and design services, quality assurance, garment testing, freight forwarding and customs clearance to ensure that the clients in the market get the products in a much convenient way.
The team will focus on the whole process of manufacturing and selling the apparels that have been manufactured to various clients in the market. The processes that will be addressed include fabric selection, designing the apparel, creation of the products, packaging, technological innovation, marketing, transport, retail, merchandising and distribution.
Selection of the fabric
Various considerations will be made in the fabric selection process and they include the demands of the clients with regards to the fabric of choice, the outcome when it is made into a garment, the overall costs that should be spent on the fabric, the current trends in fashion, the fabric that the other designers would use in making a similar product. The other reasons that will be considered in the selection of the fabric include the fabric types that will be available to the company, availability of the fabric colors and patterns for the particular fabric design, any special elements that the production department would like to have in the fabric, how the fabric choice is affecting the quality and care of the product as well as any additional requirements that are required to work with the chosen fabric.
Designing the apparel
The designers will first of all focus on the orders that the clients will have given. Most of the time clients make orders with designs in mind and it is the work of the design team to ensure that the designs that the clients have provided are applicable in the market. The designers need a stimulus to come up with the best designs and that will happen using the suggestions that the clients will provide and the results from the research conducted by research and development department. The primary reason why packaging will be done is to maintain the quality of the product during transportation and storage. The packaging will also increase the attractiveness of the product hence affect the willingness of the clients to purchase the products. Once manufactured, the product will first be placed in a waterproof casing to protect it from being damaged incase water gets to the package. The apparels manufactured will then be placed in unique carton boxes boxes that are branded with the name of Elegance Winter Apparel Inc. The carton boxes will then be wrapped in waterproof polythene bags to provide more protection to the product.
Marketing works at both the discount and retail levels. Marketing is the process of promoting and selling products and services to the clients. The marketing process will include marketing research and advertising. It will be done by having short conversations with the contacts that are part of the target market. It will also be done by looking up for the groups that contain the target market on the social media and adding a survey form on the website of the company to collect the necessary information about the market. Marketing research will help the company spot business opportunities that will help in increasing sales. For instance, it will help in forming partnerships with the other businesses to ensure that the products reach the clients in the market. Some of the companies that the company will partner with include marketing firms, fashion wholesalers and the fashion retailers.
