Frontline: By the Numbers-Childhood Poverty in the US
Some general facts and figures about childhood poverty in recent years specifically during the recession that began in 2008. Are we in a better position now than we were then? Often data figures such as these are meant to make a large looming concept like poverty more manageable but if you don’t have an idea of the weight or context of those numbers they are often meaningless. The data is helpful in some ways but we are so inundated with facts and figures like these that they don’t resonate very deeply with us.
