1. Purpose of Policy
1. Staniel cay vacations is cognizant of the fact that health and safety matters are of much
importance to the well being of its staff and guests which in the long run impacts the
performance of the business. This health and safety policy is intended to aid the staff and guests
in general by providing policies and procedures which will guide staff and guest operations.
2. Please note that we value the health and safety of our staff and guests. Staniel cay vacation
reserves the right to periodically amend this health and safety policy in order to ensure it
achieves its maximum purpose.
2. Policies and Procedures for Accommodation
In order to stay ahead of the current situation, we have taken the liberty to introduce and
implement the following policies, guidelines and/or procedures within our operations to ensure
the health and safety of staff and guests is not compromised.
a) Cleaning and Disinfecting Protocols for Hotel Operations
(i) Upon arrival guests will be issued with an amenity bag which contains hand sanitizer, face
covering and a COVID-19 awareness card. We have also gone an extra mile of equipping our
hotel rooms with a bottle of sanitizer for use by guests. Please note that provision of the bottle of
sanitizer will be on a confirmation basis.
(ii) We will facilitate installation of hand sanitizer dispensers at designated locations within our
premises such as staff entrances, driveways, key guest, reception area, hotel lobbies, restaurant
entrance, elevator landings, meeting and convention spaces, pools, salons and exercise areas. Our
aim is to deploy the use of touch less hand sanitizer dispensers which is subject to availability of
the same and our capacity to provide the same in all the above mentioned designated locations.
(iii) Our staff will ensure that all reusable collateral such as menus, coupons, magazines and
location attraction details shall be removed from the rooms immediately the guest checks out.
We are working on providing essential information as single-use collateral and/or electronically
b) Observing Social Distance
(i) Contact between the guests and our wait staff will be very limited. In the event contact is
necessary, our wait staff will be required to wear face coverings at all times when directly
engaging the guests.
(ii) Mobile ordering; mobile access to menus to plan-in-advance, text on arrival for seating and
contactless payment options, will be among the technological solutions we will use in order to
reduce person-to-person interaction.

(iii) We will be frequently reminding our guests to sanitize their hands during their stay at our
hotel as our staff carry out regular cleaning and disinfection.
(iv) At all times social distancing will be observed in the lifts. To that effect not more than 1
person will be allowed in the lift unless the extra occupants are a family member or guests
sharing the same room.
c) Hygiene Guidelines
(i) Introduction of a staff code of conduct related to hygiene practices within the facility. The
Code of Conduct lists the responsibilities of the staff and their mode of operation to ensure health
standards are above board.
(ii) Conducting vigorous and continuous training of staff on practicing social distance,
disinfecting the hotel and equipment, use of masks, sanitizers and gloves as per the local health
(iii) Specifically training and monitoring staff members forming part of the cleaning team on
proper guidelines of disinfecting and cleaning high contact areas such as guestrooms, washrooms
and high-frequency touch points such as light switches and room keys.
(iv) Routine checks of guest and staff health/temperature.
(v) All persons within the hotel whether staff or guests are required to sanitize their hands after
every 15 minutes. Hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed on strategic locations within the
hotel to enable everyone to sanitize frequently.
3. Policies and Procedures for Accommodation
It is with immense pleasure that we announce our re-opening. We understand that we are living
in unprecedented times which call for extra-ordinary measures that will ensure our health and
safety is not compromised. Based on the foregoing, we have taken the bold step of designing
guidelines that will enable you to enjoy safe tourism with custom made and realistic preventive
measures revolving around hospitality, transportation, lodging and public places. The guidelines
provided herein below are aimed at curbing the spread of infections so as to ensure there is
sustainable tourism and safe travels.
a) Limited Group Sizes
(i) Having factored in that restriction on re-opening varies from state to state, we have introduced
pre-purchasing ticket options for our customers as a way of controlling each group touring group
(ii) In ensuring physical contact and social distance is maintained at all material times, we have
introduced semi-private tours with small groups at 6 feet per party.

(iii) As a way of minimizing or reducing the risk of infection we will be offering private tours for
families and groups of people who are travelling together.
(iv) In order to access the above mentioned service in advance, kindly check the “Private Tour”

(v) As a way of keeping the group numbers low we have ensured seating capacities are reduced
at all resorts and touring places in order to enforce social distance and eliminate crowds.
b) Intelligent Re-opening Checklist
(i) We have incorporated the use of technology by giving customers the option of using our QR
code which can be scanned and using bit.ly which links it directly to our booking flow.
(ii) As a containment measure to reduce chances of infection and physical interaction, we
encourage customers to book for our services through emails and/or phone calls. Please note that
your reservations will be made before your arrival.
(iii) We have placed various signages with safety and operational guidelines at strategic locations
in order to keep our customers informed on the required regulations.
(iv) As a way of limiting interaction between our staff and customers we have engaged
technology to come up with online check-in and contactless check-out.
c) Hygiene Guidelines and Protocols
(i) Various health protocols have been put in place such as regular temperature and health checks
for our staff and customers.
(ii) Together with the local authorities, we have developed a COVID-19 contingency plan which
will be activated on the event we detect new cases.
(iii) Our tour guides are required to have personal protection equipment at all times.
(iv) Together with our partners from the health sector and government we have trained our staff
and tour guides on proper hygiene protocols which are in tandem with government regulations.
(v) During regular intervals we will conduct advanced disinfection and deep cleaning for our tour
guides, vehicles and boats that are regularly used since they have been designated as high contact
(vi) All our vehicles and boats have hand sanitizer and soap onboard.
(vii) As part of our containment measures we are also practicing contact tracing.
