Organization Culture
The company’s culture is a combination of its mission, vision, values and company’s reward systems and recognition of the employees. The company’s culture can be defined based on the engagement of the employees and the approached used in the development as well as training of the employees.
Technology is a crucial factor in the development and management of the company’s culture. Technology improves the communication within the company through the application of democratization of information. Improvement of performance is a culture present in organizations. Technological applications like Management Information systems (MIS) are used to encourage a customer-based performance approach. Therefore, technology has been used to satisfy the client, one of the primary cultures of the companies (Greesonbach, 2018).
When managing organizational culture through technology, there are some barriers associated with it. Lack of sufficient and suitable tools/software/programs results in extreme frustrations. When the technique has expired or become out of date cause’s ineffective outcomes in the Company (Greesonbach, 2018). Also, the application of technology requires technical personnel monitoring; where is no expertise in handling the company’s culture leads to poor culture management. Technology is impactful in the organization’s culture because it helps in the communication, collaboration, and interaction along with the workplace (Goldsmith & Levenslater, 2016). Therefore, in the case of technological failure, technological problems becomes the human problem.
Companies can use data analytics to change the culture of the company. Through the analysis of the company’s data, for example, the performance information is importantly used by the employees and the management to create a productive culture by improving the customer-based relationship. Also, the data analysis provides the status and effectiveness of the current organizational culture then suggest the most influential civilization. Data analytics provides culturally-suitable solutions that will increase the interaction of the employees and the customers in an organization (Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, 2017).
