The factors that determine whether or not someone graduates from high school include social
relationships, stress level, curiosity, family, confidence, fitness, and class times. The students are
likely to finish school if they have positive relationships with the other students and the teachers
in the school. Negative relationships are likely to make an individual drop out of school. The
stress level is also a major contributor to the education of an individual. A person with a high-
stress level is likely to leave the studies before graduation. The same happens to the people who
have less curiosity, low level of confidence, are not fit, they have family problems and when the
class times are not favoring them (Little, 2018).
The factor that is empowering the social lives of the students to enhance academic success
among the students in the schools. For instance, a student that has many friends in the institution
may make good relationships with the other students, and in so doing, they may get help in the
subjects that they are performing badly, and in so doing, they will achieve success academically.
The perspective given in this question is according to the micro-level. However, the explanation
does not differ whether at the macro level or the micro-level.
The education of the united states of America can be explained using the functionalist theory.
Functionalism sees society as a complex system that has various parts that work together to
promote solidarity and stability. The education system in the united states of America is
important because it ensures that the solution to a number of the problems that are faced in the
society is dealt with accordingly for the benefit of the society. It is, therefore, important for both
the physical and social wellbeing of the people (Little, 2018).
