Introduction
Criminology is the process of studying crimes in a given period by specific professional personnel who have been trained to investigate the people who have committed crimes; I will look at the serial killing because it’s my chosen topic of interest, whereby I will examine why and the reasons why one commits that particular scene, its impact on the social perspective, and how to prevent the enormous implications that might be caused by the people involved in the same act of criminology (Bowling, 2011, pp.361-379). I will use the case of the serial killing is directly linked up with the process of criminology whereby when there is a mass murdering of people in a particular place, the criminologist is now used to investigate the cause of the killings of the people, the reasons for the killing, the people involved in the mass killing and the level of the impact that has been caused in the killing of the people in a particular area of residence (Keppel, 1994, pp. 386-401). The serial killing of the people has been looked at by several researchers whereby several cases have been looked at and analyzed by the academic literature, and series murder has received more attention as compared to the mass murder, the series murder analysis shows that it economic, social and political environments which directly affects the rate at which series murder is being conducted ( Gee, 1988, pp.53-65)
Review of relevant academic literature
The academic literature has described the serial killing, and several analyses have been done to scrutinize the cases that have been widespread concerning the several points of serial murder; the explanation is always made to understand the valid reasons for the people’s multiple murder ( Bauer, 1972, pp.15-20). Several people have been found culprits of the murders unexpectedly. The US statistics show that not more than 1 percent of all murders committed in the country. Empirical investigations are also done by the people concerned with the way of life of the individuals thereby it enhances and emphasizes on the abstracting the development of an integrated theory that may provide a more in-depth explanation on how multiple murder is done to the people of the society( Wehner, 1985, pp.339-341). Criminologists are more concerned with why a specific crime was conducted and why the particular individual decided to commit the crime; criminal justice and criminology, according to the academic literature which is studied by the learners, are two different fields; these subjects are checked with a more profound concern because one cannot handle this issues carelessly like any other cases. Several influencers are studied in the literature that describes the reasons as to why some individuals tend to be involved intensely in this act of the killings; the social, economic, and political environment of a particular place tend to attract these crimes. For instance, when the country’s financial status is unstable, it attracts such a high rate of insecurities in the area; hence, mass killings can be witnessed (Henrich, 1968, pp.116-120).
The social class of the people in a particular residential area positively affects the people around. Some individuals cannot afford some fancy living styles, and thereby they tend to find something they can do to keep their spirit going; this makes most of them involve themselves in destructive activities like serial killing when the government realizes there is a mass killing of the people in a particular place, they directly consider it as a criminal offense and all they do is taking an immediate response by starting doing the investigations to find the solutions on the impact that will have been caused by the act(Ullrich, 1959, pp.36-44). It is always advisable for the government to gradually practice their investigation before an eruption of murder cases. As stated in the academic literature, serial killings are mostly targeted to the people living in the urban environment; they are targeted because of the large numbers around the city ( Birks & Stewart, 2012, pp.221-254).
The urban centers, as described by the researchers in the academic literature tries to explain the impacts of so many individuals crowded in one place, which promotes the act of robbery between them, its unethical for people who could be taking care of each other steal from themselves, this act is so evil that they go ahead to killing innocent ones who do not know what exactly might be going on with their lives, people should always take care of their neighbors and friends, this act will positively help low crimes rate in the urban cities( Maier-Katkin & Bernard, 2009, pp.227-255). There are several ways that people should ensure that every individual is safe and sound. They include reporting any crime that may seem to happen in the future, crimes when happening it causes tension among the people, reducing the trust among themselves. Criminology is directly connected to serial murders because it is definitely an issue that should be looked upon so that the solution can be found to enable them to find ways to solve those issues in a particular area of the study. It’s crucial to look into the solutions of these issues whereby it facilitates easy movement of people from one place to an on another; people of mind is a massive requirement in an individual because it helps on to think straight about an issue whereby it helps one to make wise decisions about something. It also allows others to learn about different criminology things (Helfgolt, 2008, pp.17). The sexual factor of the serial murder gives a direct concern to the surviving victim of the multiple murder, murder is the act of killing someone or an animal, and it is more often used by the law of a particular country, which is probably not an accident, this act is criminal homicide, and the law is used to act with the stringent rules to help every person affected with the show seek their justice in the direction of law, there are four types of criminal homicide which include; manslaughter, capital murder, murder and criminally negligent homicide( Tonry, 2000,p.22). These homicides specifically take place at different places, and the rate at which the act was done is also used to specify the type of criminal that has been done.
Overview of the case
Based on my chosen topic of the serial killers in the US interpret not more than 1 percent, there are also records on the FBI that the killings aproxiamently documented no more than 150 victims annually. The academic literature outlines the direct impact of the multiple murder of people and how criminology is directly involved in the whole process—using criminology to investigate the entire killing process shows that these acts go hand in hand. The people involved in the cases of murder are meant to face stringent laws put by the government that lead the country. Cases of murders are taken into the keen watch by the investigators because the lives of the people in a particular place should be guarded accordingly to avoid any irresponsible act in the country; history tells some people in the world were born to kill, this issue is so disturbing to the extent of giving up on life as the literature suggests they are specific individuals that are meant to destroy peace among other people in a particular area. A study case of the multiple murder shows that the bodies of the people killed mostly are canceled secretly to avoid getting evidence by the criminologist who is meant to investigate the killings of the people in a specific time and of a close geographic area of the people who most likely stay together( Duncan, 1988, p.1201).
Discussion
The motivation in this case study of the serial killers is liked directly with a particular person’s behavior involved with these crimes. They are sometimes remorseful, and mostly they cannot afford to repeat the same cases they once did. There are different reasons why some people involve themselves in this act, such as the killing and slaughtering the people. There are theories that best explain the person’s criminal behavior, including the rational choice theory, whereby the people act to satisfy their self-interest and decide to commit crimes after weighing potential skills. Most individuals do this act out of revenge. Some research has been done and written by the academician. It is seen that earlier before, and some people used to engage in this homicide criminal, which highly contributes to the killing of the different people of the close geographical area. Several people in the country have condemned this act; many people have been found the victim of the murdering of their close friends and relatives, which installs so much pain leading them to start acting weird and finding themselves involved in murdering the people. Several serial killers have been seen in different countries whereby the first male serial killer was killed at the age of 27, and the female serial killer was killed at the age of 31 years. There are different types of serial killers and the crime they commit in the country, which includes; thrill killers, mission-oriented whereby they do killing on targeted individuals, the murders can be hired by certain people of the specific area to commit a certain crime underpayment basis, this is mostly done for revenge purposes, there are also the so-called visionary killers who ought to think when they kill someone the outcome will be much better as compared when the person still exists in the world( Bennett, 2006, pp.288-304).
Criminal offenses are also most likely to occur when the people who particularly are involved in the different opinions, US the statistics shows that there are so many cases of criminal offenses reported in the country, many people are found to break the rules that are set aside by the government to protect the people, there are three signs that indicate if a person will grow up to a serial killer or another kind of a violent criminal killer( Warr &Erickson, 1983, pp.75-91). These signs can be seen whereby the person can be insensitive to the people and animals around them. The person starts harassing them without any problem caused, and it is advisable that every person to take care of every living thing around them; one cannot go around harassing every person or individual they come along with in the universe because this clearly shows how unfriendly one can be to the living things.
Many people were murdered and sexually assaulted women and children; the Russian killer ruthlessly murdered the children regardless of age and the people’s area. and was a former teacher who murdered at least 50 young people in the soviet union. So many people were killed by the Russian killer made so much loss across the country because resourceful people who got murdered by the killer would have made so much progress in the future of their lives; the slaughtering of the people can lead to the traumatization of humankind whereby every person cannot withstand something scary happening to their lives. Many people also get involved in criminal cases due to their past experiences. For instance, the women were barely raped at their younger age, which can highly contribute to the many criminal cases in the country. These offenses are so many in so many countries worldwide, depending on the capacity of the people living around the place. When the cases are of serial killing are mostly reported, they tend to do several investigations around the affected area to come up with the exact reason as to why those particular people have decided to make the mass killing of the people; it is always an obvious thing that affects several individuals which cannot give the piece. When people are found to have murdered by the judicial services, they face the law, and they must encounter the wrath of the law, its always complicated to understand why people involve themselves in the murder case whereby they ready to face judges in the court( Bagaric, 2014,p.343). People should act according to the rule of law and maintain peace across all corners of the world.
Conclusion
In conclusion, criminology is linked to the serial killing cases; in every place where the act has taken place, the government and the people who work with the judicial system investigate the people who have committed the crime. The action has been triggered. The cases’ action has caused the impact that the academic literature evidence has outlined above, directing people to the serial killers and how criminology is involved in the whole process. Criminology has investigated killing cases that show that these acts go hand in hand with each other. The people involved in the cases of murder are meant to face strict laws put by the government that lead the country. Cases of murders have been taken into a keen watch by the investigators because the lives of the people in a certain place should be guarded accordingly to avoid any irresponsible act in the country; history tells some people in the world were born to kill, this issue is so disturbing to the extent of giving up on life as the literature tells they are specific individuals that are meant to destroy peace among other people in a particular area.
