A proverb says that it is better to have a good name than to have silver. This is true for
most cases in business, and it is equally valid that our reputation is significant in our careers. If
we are very keen to attain success, then we should be very much ready to guard our standings in
the sense that the opinions that the people have against us matters and should be put into much
consideration. In the recent times, the social media has severely eroded the elements of
reputation, and the many social platforms such as Facebook are mainly controlled by emotions
rather than admiration.
There are those times when the editors in the social media could question every post
which is made and scrutinize it appropriately. That no longer happens in today’s world. There
are some things however that we might do so that we take care of our reputations. You should
live on your values on a daily basis and not waiver whatsoever the case. You should equally
decide what you are going to do before you are caught up in a situation which requires your
decision because it might be too late to think correctly and make a decision.
