Wood-based biomaterial, such as lignin, has great potential due to the possibility of
replacing plastics. In our study, we found that besides the increasing demand for bio-material
because of sustainability and the reduced dependence on fossil resources due to its limitations,
the wood-based biomaterial has many significant key success factors that decide its success in
To get this finding, we mostly use secondary data from news, research from different
researchers, and gather information from various websites of the bioplastics industry, such as
Bioplastics news, US Business Mechanism, and Meridian Waste solution, Etc. We firstly collect
data on different factors, such as characteristics, technology, R&D, funding program, supply.
Then, we convey fragmented information into insights. Finally, we sum up all the insights to
evaluate the potential of biomaterials in the Canadian market and worldwide.
Finding 2: Companies are strongly motivated to use bio-material to replace plastics
Companies have been realized to take the most significant role in environmental
degradation, whereby the massive production of goods has remained a key in both Canada and
the whole world. However, some companies have taken part in acting as an excellent example to
others, depending on organic materials for the production of the packaging materials to replace
the single-use plastics. This finding is prospected to continue enticing companies to gradually
shift from the regular use of fossil fuels as feedstocks and lead them towards sustainable
production methods. The driving force towards sustainable production methods begins with the
personal drive towards accepting the transformation process.
THE CONTRIBUTION AND IMPACT OF RESEARCH 3
We got this finding from identifying the data presented from governmental sources that play the
role of enticing companies to adhere to the set environmental laws. More data was obtained from
secondary data from peer-reviewed articles. Some of these articles contained data that provide
necessary information to entice the transformation of local companies into recognizing the green
economy. Again multimedia sources of data were vital in giving vital details on sustainability
issues through company enticement.
The findings are essential to SCRIBE in directing the platform towards the best methods
of guiding the operations in directing companies on behaving adequately. To some extent, the
findings were seen to directly assist SCRIBE in promoting healthy organization practices and
