Work Breakdown Structure
Definition
Work breakdown structure in the field of project systems and management refers to the engineering and a breakdown of the project that oriented to delivery into smaller and manageable portions (Siami-Irdemoosa, 2015). A proper work breakdown structure is the key to project deliveries in organizations, and it results in an organization where the teams are assigned flexible portions of the project.
Summary
The article has chosen addresses the issue of work breakdown structure development for underground construction processes. This is a study that was done by the department of mining and geological sciences in various universities. Their findings are valid and are very applicable to this case. There are several approaches used in the methodology and the tables presented here gives unobstructed views of how the project is accomplished (Siami-Irdemoosa, 2015). System design aims at determining the structure of the WBS.
The training and test of subsets are simultaneously used to assess the performance of the network. In as much as the neural processes here were developed for planning purposes, the proposed methods in this article are very valid and applicable. Validation indicated that the neural network that is intended as a presentation of a powerful modeling tool and it means the complex relationship that exists between the attributes and the intricate work breakdown structure.
Discussion
A work breakdown structure proves very useful and helpful for the management of a project successfully. Some studies have been published on the various methodologies and also the tools which are appropriate for work breakdown structure project. The process of planning for an underground work is different from other construction processes. There are no proper processes which have been put in place to determine the complex work breakdown structure underground projects.
The construction work that is done from the underground creates an obligation to the workers to develop a comprehensive procedure, and the process also demands very high management expertise to manage the eventualities properly (Kim, 2018;2017;). Several methods can be used to create a work breakdown structure. It is very fundamental to correctly understand the attributes of the underground process before forming the work breakdown structure project. Of all the methods, the best one is that which will find sufficient details and the adequate level of decomposition.
Work breakdown structure is applicable in various fields including civil engineering as it can be used to determine the location of the buffers and indicate the total cost of some given tasks (Połoński, 2015). This WBS can be referred to as a vehicle which is used to deconstruct an engineering project into components and subcomponents that are relevant.
